For anyone who wants uses bases in the doll making process, the empty ribbon spools work great. The hole is just the right size for the 1/2 inch dowels. I made a wonderful dowel by rolling foil and covering it with polymer clay.
I am a doll artist and eclectic crafter. I have been sewing since I was a young girl. Sewing doll clothes by hand. I made my first cloth doll in 1995. Materials that I use to create my OOAK items are fabric, polymer clay, paper, wire, paint, pens and inks.
